There are several  options when it comes to period supplies. Every period is unique, It is important to know how yours works. Some women use only one type; others use a combination of two or more. When considering what you like, it’s okay to try them all.

Products that are used during menstruation may are called menstrual hygiene products, They include tampons, menstrual sponges, pantyliners, menstrual pads, menstrual cups  and period panties.

Feminine hygiene products also include products meant to cleanse the vulva or vagina, such as wipes (feminine), wash gels and soap.

There are Disposable and Reusable Feminine hygiene products. Tampons, Menstrual pads, and pantyliners are disposable. Menstrual sponges, Menstrual cups, cloth menstrual pads and period panties, are reusable.

Some feminine hygiene products such as intimate cleansers and wipes, douches, are not safe, they don’t  really help maintain genital health.

The vagina is a self-cleaning oven, it naturally produces discharge that eliminates dead cells and bacteria, so there is no need to clean it using soaps, washes, or douches.

The vagina does not require any additional cleaning, but this same rule doesn’t really applies to the vulva.
